MESSAGE FROM HEAD OF FACULTY OF CRITICAL CARE MEDICINE, COAISL

It is with great pleasure and honour that I welcome you to the 38th Annual Academic Sessions of the College of Anaesthesiologists and Intensivists of Sri Lanka. This is a major event held by our college annually and contributes in many ways to strengthen the field of anaesthesia, critical care and pain management in Sri Lanka.  This provides an invaluable opportunity to all anaesthetists and intensivists to come together to share knowledge, network with leaders in anaesthesia, and importantly to refresh our connections with fellow anaesthetists and intensivists which tend to lag behind due to our busy career. This year too, we have organized an exciting programme with the participation of world leading clinicians and scientist who will share their knowledge and experience with us during the main sessions which will be on a virtual basis on 22nd and 23rd January 2022. In addition organisers have lined up eight workshops running from 9th January for a span of three weeks for the participants, providing them knowledge and skills on areas of anaesthesia, critical care and pain medicine.  These workshops are conducted by leaders in their field both local and overseas.

I hope you will have very pleasurable experience and enjoy the line-up of events which mark the 38th Annual academic sessions of the College of Anaesthesia and Intesivists of Sri Lanka.

Thank you

Dr Bimal Kudavidanage

Head, Faculty of Critical Care Medicine
